Between 1985 and 1992, Kent band The Claim(David Read, Stuart Ellis, Martin Bishop and David Arnold) released two albums- ‘Armstrong’s Revenge and 11 Other Short Stories’ and ‘Boomy Tella’- as well as 5 singles and an ep. The band folded in 1993 but in 2009 they compiled the retrospective album ‘Black Path’ and performed at a couple of reunion gigs. In 2017, the band were invited to work on an album and some live shows as Jim Riley’s Blues Foundation. An album of JRBF material was released in 2018 titled ‘A Very British Blues Explosion’. In 2019, the Claim released an album of brand new material called ‘New Industrial Ballads’.
